Large Diameter Rope (7/8"+) Hand Splicing

Here you may purchase eye splices for large-diameter (7/8"+) any spliceable ropes on your order.

Ropes in diameters 7/8" and larger require more time and effort to splice than the same rope constructions in smaller sizes. The price is adjusted accordingly.

Add the appropriate type and quantity of splices to your order above. Leave instructions for which splices go with which ropes in the 'comments' field during checkout, along with the sizes for any custom size eyes, and any instructions for thimbles, rope snaps, or other hardware to add to the splice. (Hardware must also be present in your cart to add it to the splice.)

Available in these ropes:

• 7/8" or larger double-braid rigging lines (Stable Braid, Double Esterlon, etc.)
• 7/8" or larger 12-strand hollow-braid rigging lines (AmSteel, Tenex Tec, etc.)

This splice is NOT available in:

• 24-strand double-braid climbing lines (Velocity, Vortex, Blaze, Tachyon, etc. - see 24-strand splice below.)
• 3-strand climbing or rigging lines (use the 3-strand splice below instead)
• 12-strand climbing lines (True-Blue, Arbor-Plex, XTC 12, etc.)
• Kernmantle/SRT climbing lines (Fly, Kernmaster, Valkyrie, HTP Static, Etc.)

Note: See individual rope descriptions or the WesSpur catalog for valid splices on any given rope. Instructions which indicate an invalid splice for a given rope, missing, or unclear instructions may cause a delay in shipping your order. Most splices will be completed within 1-2 business days from time of order.
