ANSI Z133 - 2026 Update

Did you know the ANSI Z-133 just got an update?

The Z133-2026 is now the most current edition of the ANSI Safety Safety and Health Requirements for Arboricultural Operations.  This voluntary standard is accepted by the industry to govern safety operations for arboriculture.  The previous edition of the Z133 was published in 2017 and remained in effect up until May 26th this year.

The Z133 committee revises the standard to ensure that business operators and tree workers have access to the most up-to-date information and guideliness that keep pace with developments in tree care.

The standard covers everything from the appropriate breaking strength of carabiners, ropes, and other connectors used in climbing systems, to the running of machinery, safety around traffic, and all facets of tree care.  It is a very handy guide to navigate the ever-expanding world of arborist equipment and techniques.

The Z133 is available to purchase from the ISA (International Society of Arboriculture) in a downloadable format, or as a spiral-bound book in the WesSpur online shop.
