Tree Guard

Tree Guard noninvasive cabling system supports trees by flexing as the tree moves in wind or under ice and snow. Overload indicators on slings become visible when the system is stressed, a major improvement over static steel cables that can fail without warning. Easy to install and inspect.

Non-invasive Dynamic Cabling

Tree Guard installs via slings wrapped around stems, with no drilling required, preserving tree integrity and allowing easier inspection due to visible overload indicators when the load exceeds 75%.

Benefits of the Tree Guard System

  • No drilling that could damage the tree
  • Dynamic material reacts to stress
  • Simple 12-strand splice installation
  • Overload indicators on 20 kN, 40 kN, & 80 kN slings
  • Effective life of at least 8 years

Tree Guard Rope

Available in 5% or 20% elasticity, Tree Guard rope prevents the eye splice from being forced open as the tree grows.

Note: Tree Guard comes in 100m / 328’ lengths. Specify minimum lengths when ordering if needed.

Tree Guard Slings

Slings should be 4 times the branch diameter, with overload indicators on 20 kN, 40 kN, and 80 kN slings. No indicators are present on 120 kN slings.
