The KL321 Offset Oval Keylock Karabiner combines the functionality of an oval with the strength advantages of a D shape. Supersafe gate suitable for climbing.
True oval karabiners distribute load evenly between the spine and the gate, which limits maximum breaking strength. Because the gate is the weakest component, D shape karabiners are designed to bias load toward the spine to achieve higher strength ratings.
The KL321 Offset Oval provides a hybrid solution, offering improved strength while maintaining the alignment and rigging benefits preferred in rope access and rope rescue applications.
Cold forging allows the use of a Keylock anti-snag nose design, now available on the KL321 Offset Oval and other models in the range.
