Notch Flow Rope Wrench
by Shepherd
The Notch Flow was my first Rope Wrench, and I personally think that it is a great piece of kit for SRT. It actually has a couple of advantages over the ISC Rope Wrench, which is the original Rope Wrench invented by Kevin Bingham. I prefer the Notch Flow because one, it's about $60 cheaper then the ISC Rope Wrench, which can be a big amount for climbers just starting out, two, it's adjustable, which is awesome because you can find which postion it works best with for your specific rope, and three, it's much sturdier and made of tougher metal, so if it gets branches dropped on it, or gets slammed against stuff, its much less likely to break than the ISC Wrench, which is made of thinner material, and more flimsy, and the Notch flow being heavier actually doesn't really restrict movement up the rope that much. I am surprised that this awesome piece of kit is cheaper than the ISC one, and paired with the fusion tether, its an awesome setup. Thanks so much WesSpur!!
