24-strand ropes have braided outer layer over a braided core, like a rope inside of a rope. Core and cover share the load. This strong construction allows lightweight and small-diameter climbing ropes. The smooth braider cover works with the widest range of hitches & mechanical devices. All 24-strand double-braids can "milk," where the cover moves past the core; this is normal and the cover can be milked back in the opposite direction. 24-strands are the most popular ropes for MRS climbing, and some also work well for SRS.

11mm (7/16") • 24-strand double braid • 4,900 lb Tensile Strength*** • 2.6% elongation at 20% of ABS • 5.8 lb. per 100’
***NOTE: This rope does not meet the ANSI Z133 requirement for a climbing rope to have minimum 5,400 lb strength when new.
This camo double-braid from Everson Cordage Works is a great choice for bow hunters. We worked with ECW to develop an additional camoflauge rope offering.

&ldquoFirst climb on my NEW Yale Cordage Focus (from WesSpur Tree Equipment = David Stice :) Everything worked perfectly; foot, knee ascenders and my HH2. Even though Focus is 0.2mm above the RIG max., even my Petzl RIG worked perfectly. I didn't have time to try it with my Rope Wrench - maybe tomorrow. But, I'm confident it will be just as satisfying.
There was insignificant bounce (which I've always considered as just a climbing style non-problem). There was slight flattening through the HH2 but not as much as with Yale Blaze -- also a non-problem, IMO.
There was an unexpected, and totally unimportant, delight: When looking down the line from above the yellow strands appeared to have a bright lime iridescence. All-in-all; I might have a new favorite life-line. Yale Cordage for LIFE!

“This is a nice line. It's light, but not too skinny. Holds its shape well. Good High Vis. It is not wearing too quickly. Satisfied.”

“I originally purchased some Arbormaster Hawkeye to work with my Petzl Zig Zag; however, even though the Petzl states that it'll run that size rope... it doesn't. I wrote WesSpur and NGD recommended I try this rope out. I couldn't be more pleased. I have run this on a number of North Carolina Pines and this rope runs SMOOTHLY through the Petzl. I highly recommend this rope for any mechanical device. This will now be my go-to rope for all future climbing! Thanks WesSpur for both the recommendation and the fast product delivery!”

“I haven't gotten to use the new voyager rope very much but it does seem like good stuff. I use it ddrt with a Petzl Zigzag and it works great!”

“This is my favorite rope diameter. Not too big or small. I also like the tighter weave than vortex. I will be purchasing more of this rope.”

“I'm using this line with a Petzl Zigzag. It works flawlessly. Voyager rope is the most supple rope I can ever remember handling in the last 30 years of climbing. It is easy to tie. The only thing I would like is different colors. I think this color tends to dissaper in the canopy.”

“Great feel, works great with the Petzl Zig Zag and has great grip when you need to climb back up.”

“I really liked the new voyager rope. Extremely light weight and very easy to work with, knots well and runs through hitches and devices well, and a good visible color scheme in the tree. So far, I am likeling better than the other ropes that I've used and would recommend it and buy it again.”

“A winner. First job out of the box on a single rope Hitch Hiker/8mm UltraTech, 2 CMI Expedition hand ascenders and a CMI foot ascender: everything performed perfectly. The rope has an excellent limited stretch and stayed firm and round through the equipment. It is brighter than Velocity Cool and visibility is very good. Good hand. Good knots. Honestly, it is just a bit coarser than the other V-series lines: it doesn't quite have that silky sexy smooth feel of Velocity but the larger diameter is easier to handle. The 11.8mm size is good.
“Good rope. Kudos to Iron Street. Nice work. ”
