Bee-Line is an excellent prusik cord from Yale Cordage, with great heat-resistance, durability, and performance on a wide range of Arborist Climbing Ropes. Bee Line is available in 5/16” (8mm) and 3/8” (10mm) diameters for use on your favorite lines. The Vectran core of Bee Line provides higher strength, while the Technora fibers in the 75% Technora / 25% Polyester cover provide heat-resistance and durability for this hitch cord. Bee Line hitch cords are available in hand-spliced versions which have more compact eyes and help reduce clutter in your climbing system, or with the Viking sewn splice eyes which are less expensive and plenty strong.
Like all Yale Cordage products, Bee Line is made in the U.S.A.
Bee Line from Yale Cordage is one of our most popular prusik cords and provides excellent performance on a wide range of ropes. Bee Line in this diameter is best-suited for use on 7/16” (11mm) climbing lines.
Please note that the hand-spliced eyes on Bee Line and HRC will be stiff initially. This is normal. These type of eyes may offer resistance the first few times you put a carabiner in.

For years, the larger diameter of Bee Line had a different construction than the 8mm. Now both 8mm and 10mm Bee Line share the same strong, heat-resistant construction of the Technora/Poly jacket over the high-strength Vectran core. In the larger 3/8” (10mm) diameter, Bee Line works great on a wide range of 1/2” arborist climbing ropes.
The Bee-Line 3/8” Prusik is recommended for use on 7/16” lines.
These tight eye split tails are professionally spliced out of Arborist Climbing Ropes with an eye that is just large enough to slip a carabiner through. While these split tails cannot be girth-hitched, the snug fit of the hand-spliced tight eye can help keep the carabiner in the proper position. 60” overall length.
