They may not have the features of a modern climbing harness, but they are tough, affordable, and can get you to work in the trees. We recommend climbing in a modern tree harness, but if you don't mind a heavier, bulkier saddle with a more old-school approach, one of these may work for you.

Adjustable suspenders are not load bearing or designed for fall protection, but can increase comfort and help keep the saddle from slipping down. This removable retro harness may be assembled on to any Deluxe series saddle to provide fall-protection functionality. The harness features H style connection in the front, padded shoulder yoke, a single webbing loop for attachment of a shock absorbing lanyard between the shoulders, and a clips onto the webbing loop at the back of the saddle. “ I bought this saddle because I the design is ideal for my climbing style. I had not had the opportunity to see one in person, so it was somewhat of a leap of faith. This brand seems to have a better bracketing of saddle sizes. What I mean by that is my size falls squarely in the middle of the range in the small size. This gives better adjustability for seasonal clothing differences. I was very pleased with the construction quality. It appears very well made of quality materials. It is good looking, performs well and is made in America. I would not hestitate to buy this saddle again, and the price is right. ”
