“Bought this block last year and I must say I use it more often than not and it has seen several large loads and has preformed well. Only complaint is the screw/bolt loves dirt and grit and will get tough and not want to screw out at times. Other than that if your looking at this block go ahead you will not be disappointed.”

“The CMI RP160 is an excellent tool. Light and easy to rack on the harness and rig aloft. It is the smallest, strongest, largest capacity aluminum block on the market. Approximately: 3"x6"x4"(thick), ~3" sheave (~2.375" inner), ~3lbs MBS 51,000lbs, SWL 5,100lbs, Max. rope 3/4" Spring Block style. The side plates could be a little larger to protect the rope from contact with the tree. And, the knob could be a little smaller. But, that's just personal preference. Overall: An excellent tool - a good investment.”

For years the only 1” we could offer cost almost $500. The 1” arborist block allows you to run your biggest ropes through hardware that can handle similarly big loads. The block swings open yet the upper sheave is retained so there is no risk of losing it while installing your sling, and you can fit up to a 1” sling for really big jobs. The lower sheave will give you a proper bend radius for 3/4” and larger rope (though it is a bit tight on 1”).
