The smallest in the Traxion line of progress-capture pulleys, the Micro Traxion is a super-compact and highly efficient (91%) pulley with great applications in tree climbing. As with the other Traxion series pulleys, the Micro Traxion can be used to create a haul system, but the most exciting use for tree climbers is using the Micro Traxion as a backup above an ascent device like the Petzl Zig Zag during SRT ascent. The Micro Traxion can also be used as a compact emergency ascender.

“Need to leave a tree threaded with cord to facilitate repeated access? This pulley will greatly reduce the friction when pulling up a rope, but many pulleys will safely accomplish that! The Petzl Rescue is special because the space between its wheel and side plates is too narrow to accept most cord. That is, your tagline won't jam in the pulley, so you can keep enjoying that hard-earned access.”

Releasable, the TWIN RELEASE progress capture pulley is designed to set up 4:1 haul systems for work in confined spaces or for technical rescue. Releasing the cam is possible with the ergonomic handle. The brake integrated into the moving side plate and the main faceted sheave with single-direction rotation, offer additional braking and better control when lowering heavy loads. The two sheaves provide excellent hauling efficiency. The swivel facilitates operations, allowing the pulley to be oriented under load and direct connection of carabiners, ropes, or slings.
