Take serious pulling power anywhere you go! The Portable Winch is available in multiple sizes, to bring the perfect combination of size and pulling power wherever you need it. The gas-powered portable winch will work with any low-stretch double-braid (we recommend Samson Stable Braid 1/2”) on the capstan drum. Hook your rope to your load, wind it three or four times around the capstan drum, and start the engine - the Portable Winch engages and moves your load with real power.

The Original Portable Winch is perfect for skidding long, pulling down hung-up trees, vehicle retrieval, and more. Powered by Honda's 4-stroke GXH-50cc engine, and weighing only 35 lb, it provides 2,200 lb of pulling power. In addition, you benefit from two speed options with interchangeable capstan drums. If you go for POWER, use the included 57 mm drum pulling at 39 feet per minute. If your application requires more SPEED, select the optional 85 mm drum* pulling at 59 feet per minute!
The Portable Winch can be used with any length of 1/2” low-stretch double-braid rope (we recommend Samson Stable Braid 1/2”.) Tie or hook the rope to the object to be moved and wound it three (or four) times around the capstan drum. Turn the engine on, and the friction created by pulling on the rope pulls the object towards the winch.
*Note: One (1) anchor polyester sling 60 mm x 2 m is always included with every winch. Accessories and optional 85mm drum are available below.
Featuring a Honda GX50 4-stroke 360° inclinable engine, the PCW4000 allows users to control and hold a load flawlessly while winching. The winch is equipped with a centrifugal clutch that prevents the drum from immediately turning at the start of the engine. As soon as tension is released, the drum stops turning and the anti rollback mechanism holds the load in position.

Rugged 13.5” x 11” plate is a cushioned, steel-plated zinc platform that is gentle on your winch and provides 45 degrees of rotation left or right. This pivoting helps to stabilize the winch while keeping it self-aligned with the load for optimum performance. Swiveling action allows you to perform more tasks without having to move the winch to a new position. 2 built-in eyehooks for easy winch attachment.
This pivoting winch support plate attaches to a vehicle hitch or tree/pole mount to provide a versatile platform to hold your winch in place while at work. Ideal for use with square hitch receiver tubing, (RIG226 – sold separately below).
This system was designed for vertical pulling. The 50 mm (2”) square tubing fits on the tree/pole mount (RIG213. See below.). It is designed so the rope goes through the pulley and then right up. Tree/pole mount with rubber pads, anchor strap 75 mm wide x 3 m long (3” x 9.8’). This anchor system allows you to firmly attach the winch on a tree or a post which makes it easier for working from one point for extended periods of time. The winch can therefore be installed at a more comfortable height and the pivoting support aligns the winch automatically with the load. The hitch plate turns your pick-up truck or ATV into a pulling machine. Simply hook the winch to the plate using the safety hooks and slide the key-hole shape over your ball hitch and you're ready to pull. Fits balls up to 2'' (50 mm) diameter Weight: 1-3/4 lb (800 g).
Optional 85mm capstan drum adds speed to your work by replacing the standard 57mm drum on the Portable Winch. Easily installed, this drum will allow you to do jobs that require less pulling capacity quicker.
The skidding cone will prevent logs from being stopped by roots, stumps or residual trees. It also protects your valuable trees along the skid path from being damaged. Made of high-performance polymer plastic, the skidding cone is strong, yet flexible. Its 20” (51 cm) opening allows you to haul large logs or bunches of smaller logs or brush. Use it year round, down to temperatures of -30°C (-22°F).

The Open Face Corner Block allows you to change the line's pull direction on your Portable Winch, which can be of great help working in the forest or urban environment, as you can work around obstacles. The corner block can also be used to get some lift, or to double your line for more power. Use with an appropriate sling or strap and with pulley down to avoid the line jumping free when slacked.

This steel device allows you to install it on ropes up to 1/2" in diameter so that when it reaches the corner block, the rope is popped free from the block and allowed to run in its original path to the winch. Installation is a simple as turning the link a half-turn around the rope and inserting in the steel cartridge.
Made from 3/8” HPPE (High Performance Polyethylene), this choker has high strength (15,500 lb MBS) while remaining easy to work with and much lighter than a chain choker. Three links of 1/4” chain and a foot-long steel rod at one end make it easy to push under logs and provide an anchor point for a grab hook. A spliced eye at the other end is used to 'choke' the log.
Made of 1/4” (6 mm), grade 70 steel, the choker-chain is equipped with a special C-hook for quick, secure installation and removal and a 12” (30 cm) long ‘needle’ letting you slide it easily under logs or through the skidding cone.
