Velocity SamsonDry incorporates the new SamsonDry technology into lightweight performance 24-strand.
SamsonDry is a hydrophobic treatment that makes this rope shed water. If you work in the rain, you know how much rope can soak up water, getting heavier and more difficult to handle. SamsonDry cuts the water uptake dramatically, meaning your ropes behave more condistently regardless of conditions. Samson Dry Technology coating reduces water absorption from 45% of original rope weight (without coating) to 2% with coating.

Sweet rope for the rainy days.

Got a smaller length of this on clearance to try it out. Definitely a harder rope because of the hydrophobic process they use, but it’s great for SRT hardware. I definitely recommend a softer prusik to pair with this. (I use the BlueWater VT - works well). So far, it’s held up well in wet weather.
