Foot ascender with dual-cams for reduced drag and rope wear with increased grip strength on wet, muddy,a and frozen ropes. The lower drag from the decreased spring tension allows the Jet Step to self-tend with out the need to weight the climbing line or pull rope through at the start of the climb. A fairlead above the twin cams prevents kicking out while still keeping the ascender easy to install and remove. The Jet Step can be worn on the left or right.
