Teufelberger Ropes’ Safety Blue is not actually blue at all, but gets its name from the blue core fibers which become exposed if the line is cut or abraded, warning the user of the danger. Safety Blue is an excellent arborist climbing line with high strength, flexibility, and safety features. Now available in three color patterns: white,Hi-Vee (fluorescent orange/white),and Ultra-Vee (fluorescent lime/white). The high-visibility Safety Blue colors have the added safety of being very easy to see, even when dirty. Safety blue is treated with a special coating that helps to increase abrasion resistance and extend Rope life. Safety Blue is a 16-strand single braid Rope made from polyester and polyolefin fibers. Strong and lightweight (7 lb. per 100ft).

Quick Overview: 1/2” diameter, 7,000 ABS, 7 lb per 100’.

Customer Reviews

Rated: Excellent Review by: Shandoe

“Teufelberger Safety Blue rope is by far the best rope I have used. It holds a Blake's hitch good but I do prefer to use a separate, smaller diameter rope for my Blake's - it holds a little better and I don't burn up the end of my climb line. I like the feel and workability of the Teufelberger Safety Blue and for the money it gives me the best quality at an affordable price. I would recommend it to any new or seasoned climber. ”

ANSI Z133-2012

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has released the ANSI Z133 safety requirements which apply to arboriculutral operations.

Arborist climbing lines are required to have a minimum breaking strength of 5,400 lb (24 kN) when new, and should be no smaller than 1/2” (12.7mm) unless the employee has been trained in the use of smaller line (down to 7/16” / 11mm), and the line's working elongation should not exceed 7% at 540 lb load.

Teufelberger Safety Blue White rope meets ANSI Z133-2012 standards.

The full ANSI Z133 safety requirements are available on our tree care standards page.
