This arborist block from CMI is a simple, robust rigging block for tree removals. The steel arborist block is very basic in design so it can be offered at a very affordable price. The block has a respectable minimum breaking strength (MBS) of 25,000 lb. The upper sheave and screw are retained when the side-plates are opened to install a rigging sling, which eliminates the possibility of a dropped sheave or screw. The block accepts rigging ropes of up to 3/4” diameter, and tree rigging slings up to 3/4”.
There are other arborist blocks with more advanced features or more polished design, but the basic CMI 3/4” steel arborist block is a great value for the money.
Purchase this kit as a package with a 3/4” x 2-8’ Loopie sling and save.

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has released the ANSI Z133 safety requirements which apply to arboriculutral operations. Components of a rigging system must be used within their Working Load Limits.
The CMI 3/4” Arborist Block is ANSI compliant when used within the manufacturer Working Load Limits.
A green log weight chart (found in the Samson Rigging Wheel) will aid in determining loads in tree rigging.
The full ANSI Z133 safety requirements are available on our tree care standards page.

“ I put it through it's pases today jyst trying it out. And it can take some abuse. I've been looking for a block for the main rigging point and I also run some ultra sl8ngs with #1 rings as redirects. It's a smooth rigging system. Thanks Wesspur.com!!!! ”

“Bought this block last year and I must say I use it more often than not and it has seen several large loads and has preformed well. Only complaint is the screw/bolt loves dirt and grit and will get tuff and not want to screw out at times. Other than that if your looking at this block go ahead you will not be disappointed.”
