HTP™ (High Tenacity Polyester) is 100% polyester and offers better durability and strength & extremely low stretch versus mixed-fiber ropes. With such low stretch, HTP is a highly efficient rope for hauling, ascending, and high angle rescue situations. HTP ropes perform better in harsh environments. For long ascents (over 300’ or line in the system) HTP has no equal.

Quick Overview: 3/8” diameter, 5,980 lb MBS, 5.3 lb per 100’.

Customer Reviews

Rated: Excellent Review by: Scott A.

“ I have only used this rope as a rappel line. It has held up well packing it through the brush, coiling and uncoiling, heat or cold, wet or dry. It has a unique hand that does't pick up debris when coiling it up in the brush. Sixty feet of it will go through a u-rack under load and come out with very little hockle. Have been very satisfied with it and would recommend. ”

ANSI Z133-2012

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has released the ANSI Z133 safety requirements which apply to arboriculutral operations.

Arborist climbing lines are required to have a minimum breaking strength of 5,400 lb (24 kN) when new, and should be no smaller than 1/2” (12.7mm) unless the employee has been trained in the use of smaller line (down to 7/16” / 11mm), and the line's working elongation should not exceed 7% at 540 lb load.

3/8” HTP DOES NOT meet ANSI Z133-2012 standards.

The full ANSI Z133 safety requirements are available on our tree care standards page.
