Dragonfly is the brightly-colored version of Teufelberger's Fly rope.
Teufelberger Rope's Dragonfly runs through gear effortlessly without getting mushy, and stays round and firm to give the climber a smooth, controlled descent. Dragonfly is designed for all vertical applications that interface with mechanical hardware. It offers the perfect combination of the low stretch characteristics of a static rope with the added safety of being able to withstand the forces and absorb some of the energy generated by a fall. Dragonfly is easy to knot, resists flattening and glazing, and works well in hardware. Red and white pattern for good visibility.
Quick Overview: 7/16” diameter, 5,400 MBS, 5.6 lb per 100’.

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has released the ANSI Z133 safety requirements which apply to arboriculutral operations.
Arborist climbing lines are required to have a minimum breaking strength of 5,400 lb (24 kN) when new, and should be no smaller than 1/2” (12.7mm) unless the employee has been trained in the use of smaller line (down to 7/16” / 11mm), and the line's working elongation should not exceed 7% at 540 lb load.
Dragonfly rope meets ANSI Z133-2012 standards, so long as the user has been trained in the use of smaller diameter lines.
The full ANSI Z133 safety requirements are available on our tree care standards page.
